Authentic Italian Pasta Sauce + Plant-Based

RECIPE~

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cans/jars San Marzano whole peeled tomatoes
  •  3 cloves garlic chopped
  • pink sea salt to taste (1-2 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp organic cane sugar(for acidity)
  • fresh Basil to preference

DIRECTIONS:

  • open cans and add to VITAMIX or blender and puree just until incorporated but not too smooth (we want some consistency)
  • chop up garlic and add to medium sauce pan (I use Caraway Home) and sauce for 2-3 minutes on medium heat with a little bit of water or EVOO
  • add pureed tomatoes, sea salt and sugar then give it a stir
  • bring to a boil then reduce to low
  • add fresh basil to your liking
  • simmer sauce for at least 1 hour to a few hours
  • enjoy!!
