Need some fun summer tunes?? No worries! I got you cover! I tried to throw a few different genres in there so there is a little something for everyone. Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

I’ve been trying to figure out how to make more gluten-free baked goods lately. I have some family members who have either Celiac Disease or a sensitivity to gluten. I saw this King Arthur’s All Purpose Gluten-Free Flour online and was not sure if it would work. So far I can use it just like regular all purpose flour and it works perfectly! 



2 1/4 cups of King Arthur Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup or 2 sticks of butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups (12-ounce package) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels


Preheat oven to 375° F.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Enjoy!


Two Infinity & Beyond 🚀

Another year has gone by and my boys have turned two years old! This probably sounds dramatic but some days I really feel like it’s a dream that they are here.

I spent my whole life dreaming about what my kids would look like. How their personalities would be, if I’d have girls, boys, or multiples of each. The dreaming got worse when Robby I got married.

We talked about our future kids all the time.  We had no idea how hard our road to them was going to be. We would do it all over again if I had to.

They are twins but they couldn’t be more different. Their personalities have been very apparent to us since their time in the NICU.  James is always on the go, his brain working a million miles an hour. Cameron likes being in his own little world. Quiet and away from others. He is very good at entertaining himself!

They both have the biggest hearts and love each other the way only twins can.  It has been the best thing in the world being able to witness their minds and personalities grow this past year.  My husband and I want to always honor who they are as individuals.  And make amazing childhood memories for them.


They have brought so much joy and laughter into our lives.  I am so excited to see how much more this two grow in another year.

This new lemon hand soap from Young Living is the bee knees! It smells like lemon sorbet. Perfect for summer!

Lastly, I got this planner from Target by Rachel Hollis! It is a really nice planner with tons to get you motivated to knock out those #goals. It even has reviews about your weeks, months, and end of the year.

A quick hello from a fellow quarantine Mom

Hello friend! I hope you are doing well. What a couple of months this has been, right? It’s been a hard month for me personally and throwing this quarantine stuff in the mix just threw me off completely.  I’ve been describing my life as feeling like I am in The Twilight Zone at times. When all of this first happened, I told my husband, that I don’t think I ever had the thought that something like this could happen.

I never thought the U.S. (and really the entire world) could shut down for months at a time. When I was witnessing the panic buying and seeing the empty shelves, I still could not believe what was happening.

I am a very positive “glass half full” kind of gal. I get stubborn and don’t want to say this has been hard, but it has. For me, it has been more of the mental aspect of it. Not going out. Not being able to keep my daily/ monthly schedule. Not getting to plan something fun like dinner with friends or date night with the husband. It’s all been mentally challenging. As a stay at home mom, those are the things that help me feel “normal” again. Getting those breaks and time with adults to talk and have fun. The worst was the fear of not being able to find the things we needed for the boys. Not being able to control how this might affect our own kids was the hardest mentally.

The reach this virus has had on everything has been so frustrating to me. The shock of the panic it caused. The empty shelves at our stores (still to this day.) People losing their jobs. Businesses being shut down. Hearing governs in other states encourage people to snitch on non-essential businesses trying to keep their businesses alive. Women giving birth alone not being able to have their husbands with them. It’s just unfathomable to me. It’s even affecting the way I have to run my small Etsy shop. Our printers are behind. Our abroad mail is ridiculously behind. It’s just all frustrating feeling like we can’t control anything in our own lives.

Now for more of a positive note! I have loved having my husband home from work with us. We have been using that extra time to have lunch together or go for quick walks around the neighborhood together. Him being home has also given me a chance to go for afternoon runs. That has been a nice mental break for me as well. He has also been able to start a health program he has been wanting to do for a long time. Best of all he gets more time with the boys. They especially love him being home.

It’s all hard on everyone in different ways. Everyone has different strong opinions on this. It’s affected people on so many different ways. My heart goes out to you in any way you have been feeling.

I wanted to share with you what has worked best for me to get through tough times. I have been making it intentional to focus on the good. When I feel myself going down the rabbit hole of negativity, I literally in my head say “stop.” I right away start listing out what I am thankful for. That in itself has changed so much for me. I also only allow myself to catch up on important news in the morning and then turn it off.

That way I’m caught up on what’s going on. But, I don’t have to be burned with the constant negativity all day. I keep a schedule to get my goals around the house done that I need to each day. I make playtime with the boys more intentional. I read books and listen to podcasts that inspired me to be better.

 I stay connected to God with prayer and tune into my church online every Sunday. I exercise or at least go for a walk every day. I try to do something to help someone else any chance I have. If I can, I bake! I love baking for others. Lastly, I rest when I need it. I don’t know if I’m the only one but if I take time to rest I feel so guilty! I have made myself stop feeling that way. We all have to recharge. Unplugging and resting is what works the most for me.

Friday Finds

Hello friends! I thought it was about time to bring Friday Finds back! These are some things I’ve gotten over the past few weeks and have really loved.

I got Joanna Gaines newest Magnolia Table Cookbook the week it came out. I’ve already made a few things from it. I LOVE it! Everything is so good and simple to make.

With the boys getting closer to the “big two!”  We’re starting to turn their nursery into a more of a “little boy” room. They are obsessed with Toy Story. It only seems fitting to make their new room Toy Story themed. I love these Toy Sheets we got from Pottery Barn. They are so different from the normal Toy Story stuff you usually see. The graphics look hand-drawn and almost retro. The sheets are super soft. They fit their crib mattress’s that will transition into toddler beds perfectly.

These running shorts are the comfiest running/ lounge wear shorts if gotten in a long time! I love the length as well.

These sunglasses are so fun and gorgeous!

 I ordered Lysa TerKeurst’s children’s book “It Will be okay” for the boys for Easter. It’s so good you guys! It is the sweetest story about trusting God through fear and change. I can’t say enough about this book. It’s a definite must-have


Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is Friday!! I feel like people never seem  excited about Valentine’s Day. I think it’s because it’s not a super exciting day off from work kind of holiday. But I mostly think it’s because it feels like we just celebrated Christmas yesterday. Hahaha!

My parents always made Valentine’s Day a little special for my sisters and I.  I want to try to do the same for my boys.  My parents would put Valentine’s bears out in the living room so when we walked in from school it was a nice little surprise.  My mom would make shrimp scampi for dinner and brownies for dessert.

We would eat at the table together and have our little family Valentine’s Day.  Here are my favorite recipes for Shrimp Scampi and brownies.  I also included my favorite recipe for Chocolate Ganache Cupcakes! They are soooo good you guys! I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Back to the Grind

I hope you all had a great holiday and are now enjoying being back to the grind.  We feel like this is the first weekend in awhile that we have been able to just relax.  We had a great Christmas with our families.  It was so fun watching the boys understand the holidays a little more than they did last year. 

They loved learning the word “Santa” this year too! We did set up a photoshoot with Santa for our first ever family Christmas card.  James loved Santa as soon he saw him.  He ran straight to him, hugged him, read a book with him, brought him a prop present. Cameron on the other hand liked Santa in theory but not reality.  He said “Santa” about a million times a day but clung on to me as tight as he could when he saw Santa in the flesh.  Mine and Robby’s expectations were low for this whole photoshoot.  I just held out hope for at least one good family photo.  Luckily, we got one out of the two boys to be a little model for us, and if Santa hid behind the backdrop, we got a few with Cameron as well! Hahaha!

We spent almost every weakened with family and friends, baked cookies and did all the things holiday.  Before we knew it, it was a new year and we have been peeling ourselves out of bed trying to get back at it. Is it seriously still January?  Our big plans this year are to take our first ever big family trip to Colorado to watch Robby graduate with his master’s degree! We are so excited! I’ll be sharing more on that very soon!

We have been wanting our year to focus on our goals but also on giving back. We feel so blessed that we just hope to bless other around us.  Robby and I got to do that this month by donating and volunteering at our church with the organization Feed My Starving Children.  They feed children in different communities all over the world.  We spent two hours packing as many food packages as we could, with a group of people.  It was honestly some the most rewarding two hours I’ve ever spent.  Giving back feels so good and brings me the most joy. 

If you have the chance to spend even the smallest amount of time doing good for your community, I strongly recommend it.  If you can make a date out of it, that’s even better!  We hope to keep making this something we not only do this year but, in the years, to come.  Robby and I want volunteering to become our family’s tradition as the boys get older.
